Deviled Eggs

Creamy, tangy deviled eggs with a sprinkle of paprika. No gathering is complete without them.

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Fresh chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit 12 minutes.
  4. Transfer to an ice bath for 10 minutes.
  5. Peel eggs and slice in half lengthwise.
  6. Remove yolks and place in a bowl.
  7. Mash yolks with a fork until smooth.
  8. Mix in mayo, mustard, relish, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  10. Pipe or spoon filling into egg white halves.
  11. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chives.
  12. Refrigerate until serving.

💡 Tips & Notes

For easy peeling, use eggs that are at least a week old. The ice bath stops cooking and makes peeling easier. Make the day before for best flavor!
